A properly prepared seedbed gives developing seeds the water, air, and soil contact needed for healthy establishment. The LEMKEN power harrow breaks up clods, distributes soil aggregates evenly, and maintains a consistent working depth. Its active tines create an intensive mixing and crumbling action while the selected rear roller helps reconsolidate the soil. This produces a softer surface for emerging seedlings and a firmer layer beneath the seed to support capillary water movement.
LEMKEN Zirkon power harrows allow key operating settings to be adapted according to field requirements. Depending on the selected model, operators can adjust the working depth, rotor speed, tine position, and forward speed to achieve shallow or intensive cultivation. The direction of tine rotation can also be changed between “grip” and “drag” on compatible configurations. The grip position provides intensive soil penetration and mixing, while the drag position offers a stronger levelling effect and is particularly useful in stony conditions.
The closed, welded gearbox is manufactured from thick-walled, high-quality steel for stability and smooth operation. Precisely aligned bearing housings and evenly arranged tine carriers help distribute load consistently and reduce stress on the tractor PTO. Optional quick-change, hard-faced, and carbide tines are available for selected models, allowing the machine to be configured for demanding soils and extended service life.
